Group Therapy

Group therapy brings together a small group of people with similar goals to learn skills, share experiences, and support one another in a structured, therapist-led setting.

Therapist-led groups
Peer connection
Skills + support
  • Ideal if you want connection with others who “get it.”
  • Helps build skills for real-life situations between sessions.
  • Offered in person and/or via telehealth depending on the group.

Is this service right for you?

Group therapy can be a good fit if you are looking for community, want to practice new skills with others, or would like another layer of support alongside individual care.

Common reasons people choose Group Therapy

  • You feel alone in what you are going through and want to feel less isolated.
  • You want to hear how other people cope with similar struggles.
  • You are working on skills (like emotion regulation or communication) and want a place to practice.
  • You already have individual therapy or medication support and want to deepen your work.

What to expect in Group Therapy

Groups are structured and guided, but still leave room for honest conversation and shared experiences in a respectful, confidential space.

1

Screening & fit

Before joining a group, you meet with a provider to talk about your goals and confirm that the group’s focus, format, and timing are a good match for you.

2

Weekly group sessions

You attend regular sessions that include check-ins, psychoeducation, skills practice, and space for members to share, all within clear ground rules for safety and respect.

3

Practice & follow through

Between sessions, you apply what you are learning in real life. Group members often share what worked, what didn’t, and support one another in trying again.
